The "NEO" Invocation (English) |
The world is deeply involved
in a profound humanitarian power struggle where right and wrong, liberty and
tyranny come face to face and must discuss between themselves. In light of this
happening we unveil a form of the Great Invocation which is updated to this present time.
The "NEO" Invocation
From the point of light within the mind of God
Let Light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light pervade all of Humankind
From the point of Love within the heart of God
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May the "One Heart" manifest on earth
From the center where the will of God is known
Let purpose guide the wills of men --
The purpose which the Masters love and serve.
From the center which we call the race of men
Let the plan of Love and Light work out
And may it open the door where power dwells
Let Love and Light and Power fulfill the plan on earth
The
original "Great Invocation" has been one of the most important pieces
of esoteric spiritual literature on the planet. It stood high with the Lord's
Prayer as a world wide focusing point for "New Age" Christians,
Buddhists Theosophists etc. It was a fully endowed rallying point, a clarion
call to men and women of good will from all walks of life and religious
persuasion. A point of fusion which
bestowed a clear vision and a goal much like Martin Luther King's "I have
a Dream" speech. "Free at last, free at last, Thank God almighty Free
at last!" or the song and affirmation "We shall Overcome". These
are all points of reference and faith which build, transform and secure the
goal of humanity to live in a better world… "thy kingdom come thy will be
done on Earth as it is in Heaven."
Over the
years certain elements of mankind have evolved beyond the consciousness of war and competition and have thoroughly
understood that "Being One we all have Won!". Unconditional Love is
the source. The Alpha and the Omega. ONE WORLD, ONE HEART, ONE BEING !
Now we will
return to the original Great Invocation and its transformational process.
The Great Invocation
From the point of light within the mind of God
Let Light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within the heart of God
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.
From the center where the will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men--
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.
From the center which we call the race of men
Let the plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and
Love and Power restore the plan on Earth
The original form (as we know it) presented by
Alice Bailey had signs and impressions of thoughts and beliefs which reflected
an understanding of life connected to those times. The Great Invocation was
brought into the world at the end of the
Second World War and has helped millions of people to focus and strengthen the
thought form of a New Era. It was formulated to assist the men and women of good
will in that time period. Now we are in the 21st century and the
manifest form could be quite different, freeing itself from the limitations
imposed by the mindset and experience of that point in time in human
development. We present this "Neo Invocation" (with reference to
"new" and to "Matrix" the film) with the utmost respect for the past and
sincere awareness of the future, already present. The New Great Invocation is
born from Unconditional Love and represents a maturation of the concepts implicit
in the first Great Invocation. Today more of its "essence" can be
revealed accepted and empowered where previously this form would have been
"too much" for the common man or woman of good will. It wasn't time.
The first paragraph has been changed to
dissolve the old concept that light literally comes from above and that the
earth is a dark place without that light. The image evoked by the old form is
light pouring down on a dark earth and this image perpetuates separation not
only of light and dark but also the separation of the earth from light, in a
kind of old testament creation myth stuck at phase
one (how "old" is that?). Obviously
this image was comforting to someone who felt lost in darkness but was not
representative of the reality that all molecules and atoms are full of light
and more importantly was not representative of the importance of the expansion
of our "inner light" throughout creation. The phrase was also
modified so that the image evoked is not of a globe receiving light "Let
light descend on earth" but that of people
being permeated by light. Thus the conclusive phrase of the first
paragraph becomes: "Let light pervade all of humankind"
The second paragraph was altered so as to make
it more uniform by using the word "heart" but also by eliminating the
word "Christ". Obviously by eliminating the word "Christ"
we are not eliminating Christ, as he, as love, is at the center of the world
and the process that the Great Invocation is invoking. We eliminate the word to
render the Invocation more acceptable to people who do not identify with
Christianity and thus allows them to use the Invocation more effectively and
thus the Invocation itself is strengthened. This is in keeping with its purpose
to be a rallying point for all religions and creeds. Another reason for
changing the second paragraph was that for a true Christian, a Christian of
Faith, Christ never left the earth but lives in the believer's heart where they
were joined and where they will remain
together throughout eternity. Therefore to evoke the image of a Christ that has
"gone" somewhere perpetuates an image of separation that for one who
lives in Christ or Christ in him, does not exist! Thus the concluding phrase of
the second paragraph becomes "May the "One Heart"
manifest on Earth."
(again there could be a small wink towards
Matrix and the "one")
In the third paragraph the changes were minimal
and not even "necessary". There was just a slight separation (again
to give confidence that bigger and more knowing forces were helping and guiding
us) but even a "little" separation
is separation (thus "little" was removed from the phrase
"guide the little wills of men"). Plus "know" was replaced
with "love" because the Masters are the same force as the purpose.
They "know" almost in the biblical sense and what they
"know", they love. What they "know", they are. They are love and they do love, that is; they are one with the source.
Unconditional Love is first… and last, love,
total union. Using the word love
brings the energy and understanding of that word into the conceptual propulsion
of "purpose". Thus the second and third phrase of the third paragraph
become:

The third phrase of the fourth paragraph was
completely out of synch with Unconditional Love. Incredible! But obviously the world was worried about
evil and its power (Hitler had just finished his stint) and so the fourth
paragraph was rendered unrecognizable by the need to make the reader feel safe,
so the true key word of the paragraph (power) could not even be pronounced,
even though it appeared in the conclusive "great" command phrase of
the Invocation. Unconditional love does
not separate, does not close, does not alienate. Unconditional Love is all and
nourishes all. So when the Invocation says "Let the plan of love and light work out" it is
shocking to see it "closing", "locking" or
"sealing"! Separating something from something else! This is not
possible! If anything it would "open" a door! This is in fact what
the "true" phrase of the Great Invocation is, it ""opens the door where power
dwells" and now the conclusive invocation makes sense "Let light
and Love and Power…". Before the unveiling of the word power, before its
esoteric or magical manifestation or creation in the previous part of the
Invocation it is alchemically impossible to use the word in the last command
phrase! Where did the word power come from? In magical terms the word should
have been "seal" or "evil" or something that was used
previously. They even inverted the words created in the preceding paragraph
(fourth) Let the plan of love and light (where love leads) to "Let
Light and Love
and…" (where light leads the final phrase). This is because there
is a light prejudice at the transcription point. This message, this invocation
was brought in by light accompanied by love rather than by love accompanied by
light. Intelligence transmits and is transmitted through light while love is
all and is mostly transmitted through sensation emotion and sentiment,
intuition or being if you will.The
proper form of the last conclusive power phrase should repeat the order of the
fourth paragraph. Let Love and Light and
Power…
The last
change in the last phrase is the replacement of the word "restore" in
the phrase "restore the Plan on
Earth". It is obvious that the Plan referred to is the Divine Plan and it
should be clear that if it is indeed a Divine Plan then it could not be
destabilized or ruined by some other force. If its a
Divine Plan then everything is part of it. Some
things are hard to accept, like war, terrorism, lack of respect or the recent
Tsunami. So people like to think that there's some mistake that these bad
things are not part of the Plan. Like Hitler wasn't part of the plan, he was an aberration. But everything is part of the Plan, the plan
to transform a planet of fear filled, desire driven, egocentric self conscious
beings into a loving group of socially aware, cooperative entities that
organize and establish an order of harmony and mutual respect on a planetary level.
We as a planetary consciousness have come a long way. Obviously man as a whole
still feels threatened and can't conceive of such atrocities as being part of
God's plan but this is the mechanism which pushes him to higher levels of
cooperation. For some on this planet it is now possible to understand that this
is all part of an evolutionary project which leads humanity to a self
identification as One and thus to a great new form of communication and
collaboration which results in better service to itself as a planet, as a
being, as one being. This should be obvious now after recent developments of
world cooperation and concern (thus a major evolutionary step), but probably it
isn't, yet.The Plan was never taken off the earth or destroyed or harmed, it was
just too big. It was "too much to reveal" to frightened preoccupied
beings. This however does not alter the truth, that the Plan is in place and it
is proceeding, and we are part of it. Thus the word to replace
"restore", at this time in human evolution, so as to push us towards
the realization of the Plan, is
"fulfill". Let Love and Light
and Power fulfill the plan on Earth.
This
completes the revisitation. I hope you like it, in the sense that it rings true
to your love and appreciation of "The Great Invocation". It does to
mine. I feel that a deeper form of
"The Great Invocation " has surfaced and that this is a sign
of the times, a sign that we can make a step forward in consciousness and
understanding. I'm including a poem written to describe the New Human
Being. I feel it represents who we are
and who has worked on the "Neo" Invocation so I think it could kind
of be a signature sentiment for this article. Our being.
